Bitter divisions: Over Srebrenica massacre persist 20 years later

Russia this week vetoed a U.N. Security Council resolution that would have condemned the massacre by Serbian troops as "genocide." The resolution, backed by Britain, urged all sides to accept the term as a significant step toward reconciliation between Serbs and Bosnian Muslims. The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Netherlands officially deemed the tragedy a genocide in 2004.
