PARIS — French President Francois Hollande said Wednesday he will shut down any place or gathering, including mosques and community groups, that are "glorifying" or encouraging terrorism as he seeks tougher measures to counter threats from the Islamic State.
Hollande made the comments a few hours after a seven-hour raid by police on a Paris suburb ended with the deaths of two people suspected of being connected to Friday's attacks in Paris that killed 129 people and wounded hundreds more. Seven people were arrested.
