BERLIN - After 1945, a divided Germany embarked on a massive program to rebuild what was destroyed during the war. Much of the rebuilding occurred quickly. Piles of rubble in cities like Berlin, Cologne and Frankfurt were rapidly transformed into concrete and steel.

Yet, post-Reunification some groups have been lobbying for the rebuilding of exact copies of 19th century buildings. Michael Scaturro reports.
