She has specialized in Central Asia where she has lived and travelled a lot since 2005. Her radio features have aired on Deutsche Welle, Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandradio Kultur, Dradio Wissen. Edda holds a master in Geography and speaks Russian, English and some French.
