Rose-Anne is a journalist and author whose work in English and German has appeared in International Herald Tribune, NPR Berlin, The Root, USA Today, The Washington Times, Der Tagesspiegel, Spiegel Online and Die Zeit. She specializes in the Middle East and North Africa, migration, and culture. Her memoir about race and integration in Germany was published by Random House/C Bertelsmann in 2010. Originally from New York City, Rose-Anne has lived in Berlin since 1998, when she arrived as a Fulbright Scholar. She holds a Master’s Degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Sarah Lawrence College. She speaks fluent German and basic French and Haitian-Kreyol.
