Bio:

Blaž is a Slovenian freelance journalist and  expert in arms trafficking and the politics of security and defense. He co-authored the investigative trilogy “In the Name of the State,” which explores arms smuggling into the Balkans during the conflicts of the 1990s. He has worked for Slovenia’s daily newspapers Delo and Večer and his articles have appeared in The Guardian, The Observer, Jane’s Defence Weekly and Jane’s Intelligence Review. He is member of International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and a co-founder of the Center for Investigative Journalism, Slovenia.
